Anthea S. Brown is a poet, painter, and potter based at the Jersey Shore. She graduated from Monmouth University with a BA in Art concentrating on ceramics and also earned her MFA in Creative Writing for poetry and memoir.
Known as ASBfromJerZ (pronounced JER-zee) on the poetry scene, Anthea was filmed this past August by PBS along with other NJ Poetry Renaissance poets for an episode of "Voices in the Garden" to air in the near future.

ASBfromJerZ invites you to a night of poetry while painting a mug of your choice at Fire Me Up! Studio, where she has been a proud employee since May 2023. In addition to curating the playlists, hosting, and hitting the mic, she'll also do a one-of-a-kind painting live in her signature abstract style that is heavily influenced by the color theory lessons of Josef Albers that were taught to her by the late, great Professor DiMattio of Monmouth University. And, I'd be remiss not to mention that I wouldn't be here without the love and support of the NJ Poetry Renaissance, Fire Me Up! Michael is a published poet, prose writer, and acrylic painter. born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. He doesn't stop there though as he has a background in the culinary and music industries. Michael loves staying creative and inspiring others to do the same.

R.Sen is a New Jersey based spoken word artist, poet, Singer-Songwriter, and musician who found love for writing and music at the age16. She has since used this passion in many readings/performances, both online and in-person, throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. It was during this time of uncertainty, that she found the power in her voice to speak her words.
Her belief in poetry being therapy and the feedback from peers motivated her to begin composing her first collection, Introspectrum - which is available for purchase now , so that she can not only empower her own life, but the lives of others around the world.
With love and empowerment as a focus topic, her work is tailored to resonate with those who have struggled in life with heartbreak, loss, self-empowerment and self worth. R.Sen writes for her readers to find healing, strength, hope, and ultimately, self love by guiding them with poetry through her own personal journey and views.

FEAUTRED POET - RASHAD WRIGHT
Rashad Wright is the poet laureate emeritus of Jersey City and a teacher on behalf of the Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Foundation and Passaic County's Theatre & Poetry Program. He is a graduate of New Jersey City University, receiving his BA in English: Creative Writing. He is the author of Romeo's Whiskey available to buy on Amazon, and Grandslam Champion of Nu Jeru 2024.
